Aloha Caylee!!

We take a break from the Trip Report for today because a special blessing came upon our family…my new neice, Caylee Kong was delivered today!! Her mom, Ying is one of my 3 sisters, and she happens to be a twin!

Caylee Kong 6 lbs 13 oz – 20.5 inches

Caylee was delivered this afternoon in Ridgewood, NJ and weighs 6lbs and 13 oz. Mom and baby are doing well. The whole clan which included myself and Steve, my 2¬†other sisters, one BIL, one neice and my parents spent the day waiting at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey for the birth. After she was born, at first we were not allowed to visit due to quiet time between mommy and baby from 1-3:30pm so we decided to have lunch nearby at Dynasty – which serves dim Sum in Ridgewood. I think this is only fitting as Kevin, the new daddy, loves Chinese food so we had a mini-celebration with dim sum. The Dim Sum at Dynasty however is just ok, but when you’re in Ridgewood NJ, there aren’t that many choices for Chinese food.

My other neice, Eva, although as cute as can be, was quite restless and kept us all running after her and trying to conjure up new tricks to entertain ordering lamisil her….some worked, some didn’t.

excited about meeting Caylee!

wreaking havoc back in the waiting room

letting Uncle Steve read a book to me…for 5 seconds

After what felt like hours, we could finally see Caylee! Isn’t she adorable? I think she looks like her dad, Kevin, but only time will tell.
