My dream come true…on November 1st 2008, I married the greatest guy and the next day departed on a dream honeymoon…
This isn’t a Hawaii trip report, but more an account of our once-in-a-lifetime dream trip (at least for us). This was the very first trip report I’ve ever written, and I literally started it about a day after we got back from our honeymoon and I finished it in about 48 hours. The link takes you to the original Google Sites page, and everything remains the same as when I wrote it in 2008…just a few updates for grammar here and there, but I wanted to preserve the memories in the moment when I wrote it. Even the photos are straight out of camera. Back then I didn’t know how to use Photoshop or Lightroom so none of the photos are edited. It was an unbelievable trip, mainly because it is just so beautiful there, and although we’d love to visit the Tahitian Islands again, the distance and cost just makes it too difficult…maybe for our 10th anniversary (or beyond)!
In short, here’s what we booked: Flights via Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to Tahiti. 2 nights in the Intercontinental there in their pool view room, inter-island flights from Tahiti to Bora Bora on Air Tahiti (not to be confused with Air Tahiti Nui), then 6 nights at the Intercontinental Thalasso in a sapphire over-water bungalow. Soooo over the moon about that!
So without further ado, our Honeymoon in Tahiti and Bora Bora (opens in new browser). Enjoy!
